The Institute of Social and Corporate Ethics (ISCE) is a research-based advocacy non-profit organisation working to defend and strengthen South Africa’s democratic institutions. We envision a prosperous South Africa in which ethical principles are embedded in society, government and business. We're focused on eradicating corruption and state capture because we believe their dangers are not limited to the diversion of public resources to private pockets causing harm to millions of lives, but also the systemic undermining of South Africa's democracy.

ISCE was founded in 2020 by ethics advocate & scholar, Athol Williams, forced into exile because of his work.

  • Cooperating with law enforcement authorities and government agencies in South Africa and elsewhere to prosecute parties involved in corruption or state capture

  • Campaigning for support and protection of state capture whistleblowers

  • Advocating for an ethical revolution through public engagement, publications and education
